Packed almost every day, the Pier is cool and can be romantic on winter nights! Best place to have some drinks @ BIG DEANS MUSCLE INN, right on the Santa Monica Beach Path, next to the Pier(not on), Rock music, white trash(but good white trash) hang-out, cheap big pitcher of beers, you will meet a lot of locals(say Hi to Skateboard-Mom from me) and tourists alike

VENICE BEACH Southern California's biggest tourist attraction. What can I write that has not been written about Venice Beach. Colorful? Yes! Funky? Yes! Fun? yes! If you are visiting or living in L.A., a trip down to Venice should always be a priority! For food, check out H.O.T, on the corner of Windward and Ocean, actually 1 block south of that corner, for the best OMELETTES on the Westside!
A cheap, cool place were you can hang with some locals for drinks, bypass the Sidewalk cafe-which is a tourist-trap and go to the WATERFRONT CAFE at the other end of the Boardwalk, it has a cool view during Sunset and imported German beer!. Also, don’t miss the remaining Venice Canals, just 2 blocks from the Beach!

ZUMA BEACH L.A's Party beach, the beach for the "Valley Kids", boogie/body boarding, tons of Radio Promotions in the summer, make sure to be around Life-guard Stations 14-18, as otherwise you will hanging with family's and there crying newborns, which can be very painful!

TOPANGA BEACH This is the ultimate Surfer-Beach! Surf Chicks and guys battling it out. Great Waves and a cool spot to watch! Not really a swim beach, as the area is pretty rocky.

HUNTINGTON BEACH Many of the events at Huntington Beach are focused around the beach during the summer. The U.S. Open of Surfing and Beach Games are featured on the south side of the pier. Huntington Beach is a stop on the AVP beach volleyball tour. A biathlon (swim/run) hosted by the Bolsa Chica & Huntington State Beach Lifeguards takes place in July, early at dawn. The race begins at the Santa Ana River Jetties and ends at Warner Avenue, Bolsa Chica State Beach. Huntington Beach Junior Lifeguard day camps are held which teaches preadolescents and adolescents ocean swimming, running, and first-aid medical knowledge.
Huntington Beach is the site of the world surfing championships, held in the summer every year. The city is often referred to as "Surf City" because of this high profile event, its history and culture of surfing. It is often called the "Surfing Capital of the World", not for the height of the waves, but rather for the consistent quality of surf.

NEWPORT BEACH Newport Beach is like a French Impressionistic painting--it's a magical place with views so stunning, they hardly seem real. Like the Rock of Gibraltar or the French Riviera, cars line up on weekends filled with visitors seeking opportunities to share the dream on a five mile stretch of land referred to locally as the Newport or Balboa Peninsula. Intimate sand beaches, a jetty called "The Wedge" where surfers test their skills, two piers, the Fun Zone, Balboa Pavilion, Newport-Balboa Ferry boat, harbor cruises, boat rentals and trips to Catalina Island are but a few of the attractions for people of all ages.
